As with other terriers the Yokie’s were breed to be ratters. Yes, that cute look dog will hunt down varmints. They will dig like crazy to find what they are looking for.
Way back in the day these cuties were used in mines. They have a golden head and rear so, when people saw them coming they knew they were not a rat. See, their coloring is all by plan. Yorkies also have hair that is more like humans hair than many other breeds. That is why they fall into the Hypoallergenic category, They have less dander than most.
As you can see, these dogs are some of the cutest ever with a purpose. While they are snuggling on your lap they are also on the look out. Always ready for a new adventure.
