Wild Mushrooms are Dangerous to Dogs
Mushrooms can be deadly to dogs?
Yip, they can!
These aren't the normal mushrooms like you might get on a pizza. These are mushrooms that grow wild...they might be in your yard. You might even come across one of these while your out for a romp in the woods.
The vet they talked to on Harmless Mushroom? Not For Dogs says that if you see your dog eat a wild mushroom you need to get them to a vet. If they get the mushroom out of the dogs system before it is digested then you might just save the dogs life and a HUGE vet bill.
Yip, the vet said that a dog with wild mushroom poisoning can run up a very hefty treatment bill.
If you live in an area that is damp, grassy, or even if you have a compost pile...just be sure to take a trip around the yard to search out them nasty shrooms. It's well worth your time. Heck, you need the exercise.
If your dog has eatin a wild mushroom he may be vomiting and just not acting like himself. If you even suspect your pup has eatin one be sure to contact your vet ASAP!
OK, now go out and walk in your yard, check often for those lil fungus, ‘cause they pop up in nothing flat.
