If you got a Twitter account then you can help out a critter in a shelter everyday. It only takes a minute.

Get logged in a Twitter then…

You gotta go to Twitter A Critter on the Adopt a Pet site.

There you’re gonna see a search thing at the bottom of the page.
Put in the City and State of where you want to see the list of animals up for adoption at shelters.

Now you can pick if you wanna see cats, dogs, bunnies, horses…. (some shelters may not have horses, bunnies, mice, lizards. So ya might have to go with cat or dog).

Ok, then you just click the button and it will start looking through all the aminals to find ones in your chosen area.

Walla! Some places have pages and pages to look through. That is because there are soooo many animals that need a forever home.

Now once you see the critter that you wanna help, just click on their picture and it will take you to their “about me” page. You can see what shelter the critter is in, their age, how to adopt…

Right from their about me page you can hit the Tweet Me button. It will put a message right to your twitter account. It will have the link to the animal you picked and everything is ready, you just have to click SEND.

Now, all your followers get a chance to see a pet they might wanna adopt or maybe they will know someone else that is looking to adopt. I hope that they also go and tweet out a critter up for adoption.

Just think… if everyone tweeted out 1 adoptable pet each day, there could be thousands of animals find forever homes. Just from a super simple tweet.

Ok, when I said it would only take a minute…I lied.

It took us a while cause we looked at soooo many anipals. They were all great in their own way and we could not stop looking. Finally we just picked one from the way back pages and tweeted it.

We will go back tomorrow and do it again. You can send out as many as you like but, your followers may think you’re crazy.

We are gonna make a point to do 1 a day everyday. I hope you do too!
