About The Beagle.
The Beagle was originally (and still is) used as a hunting dog. They are scent hounds so basically theys sniff and sniff and gets lost when doing so. Most scent hounds are known to get lost because of it. They obviously hunt little things like birds and rodents, mostly. But, sometimes theys find things that are just interesting to them randomly and you never know what it will be.

Smart Doggies?
The Beagle is really intelligent and easy to train when they are younger. They tend to get more stubborn as they get older which makes them harder to teach, but if trained when younger, they are great doggies. No matter how much you train them, you do need to make sure you have these guys in a fence of some sort, because even if they are trained, until that are really old and then just don’t care anymore, they will still let their noses get the best of them.

Is Beagles Good With Children?
Beagles is really hyper, lively, loving doggies that are really good for children. Because kids is hyper and so is Beagle’s, this makes them work good together and you can stick them outside and they will probably run around forever.

What Kind Of Area Do They Need To Live In?
They can live in any kind of area and any kind of lifestyle. If you does lives out in the middle of nowhere, be sure you have a fence they can be in so theys do not run away. If you live in the city, be VERY careful and make sure theys is always on a leash. We live were there is a whole bunch of cars and busy streets and Iz am always on a leash, so no matter what kind of doggie you has, you should sick them on a leash.

What About Grooming Thems?
Beagle doggies do tend to shed quite a bit so if you is allergic to doggies, these would not be a good one for you to have. I would recommend that you give them a good brush everyday, to keep the hair down. They have a thick undercoat, so it would be good if you got one of those wire brushes, and maybe for the top coat you could use one of those rubber brushes that grabs on to the hair. Do not be too rough with those, though.

How Active Are They?
They love to go for runs and be extremely active. So if you live in the city or a small area where they can not run around, you should take them for runs or long walkies so that theys can burn off all of their energy, or theys will be like me and keep ya up all night.

Is They Healthy Doggies?
A little tip about thems health issues! They is normally really healthy doggies that live for a long time, but because their ears is so big and always hang down. They tend to get moister in there so you does need to keep an eye on them. Be sure and read - Ear Infections in Dogs for information about doggies ears.

Iz like these doggies, Iz think. You know why? Because they seem cool and they has big ears. Although theirs hang down and mine are straight up, Iz bet they would be fun to hang out with too, because they is so hyper, and them would be like my BFF.
