Guess what anipals? June 26, 2009 is Take Your Dog to Work Day. Hows cool is that? Iz will not be able to go because my Dad works at a place where there are constantly people in and out and my Mommy works at home. Iz guess you could say Iz go to work everyday with my Mom, but Iz do not really GO anywhere. BOL! Iz just look and her and the girl on the computer all day, and hope they Tweet for me and write things for the blog.
Here is a little bit about Take Your Dog to Work Day:
TYDTWD originally started June 25, 1996 in the United Kingdom. They would celebrate it every year. Most places in the UK allow this for people who worked in offices. Because we is so far behind, the United States did not start this until June of 1999. It was not very popular until the past couple years, though. That is just not right if you ask me, it should be so popular it happens everyday. BOL!
This started because it was to encourage hoomans to adopt us. Maybe if other people saw how cool we was, they would go adopt a doggie too. It was/is for a good cause. Cuz it is really cool to get a doggie, but to adopt and save one is awesomer. That is what happened to me.
Take Your Dog to Work day has started in other countries such as, Canada and New Zealand. See? We anipals are taking over the world, four paws at a time.
If you is wanting to take your doggie to your office job, here are some things you should think about before doing so. You do not want any troubles.
Things to do for Take Your Dog to Work Day:
Make sure no one in your work area is allergic to doggies. That would not be fun for them.
Bring all the supplies you will need. Water Bowl, Leash, Poop Bags and maybe some kind of doggie stain cleaner encase they were to have to accident. You should probably feed them before you go to work.
If you doggie likes to chew things or get in troubles, then you should bring a little baby fence with some chew toys, or just not bring them at all. Because if they get in troubles, you get in troubles with your boss and that is so uncool.
Make sure it is okay with EVERYONE in the work place to bring the doggie, just because you do not want to bother anyone.
Plan times to be able to take your doggie outside to go potty. Trust me, potty breaks are a MUST!
Zoie Talk:
If you do decide to take you pooch to work with you, you should totally take pictures and leave a comment, so we can post them. Cuz we like posting about other doggies, especially when they do something cool like that.
If your hooman does not want to take you, even though you is the bestes doggie in the world and you is the cutest and EVERYONE would love you, pounce on them in their sleep. This is a move that has worked well for me over the past few months. They may never get what you mean when you do it, but it is still the funnest thing ever.
Have fun.

About The Carolina Dog.
The Carolina Dog is a pretty cool looking dog. It even has big ears like me; maybe they is like… my long lost relatives from Carolina. They sort of remind me of The Basenji Dog, even though they are not related. People can mistake them for small Australian Dingo’s too. Carolina Dogs are actually Pariah Dogs which are considered to be ancestors of the Dingo. Also, they were used for hunting dogs back about 8,000 years ago for the Indians. Iz wonder if they wore feathers too?
Carolina Dogs Have Nicknames.
Carolina Doggies has so many nicknames – American Dingo, The Dixie Dingo, The Southern Dingo, The Native American Dog, The Indians Dog, The Southern Aboriginal Dog and juss plain Ol’ Yaller Dog. That last one seems easier to say if you ask me. BOL! They call them the Yaller Dog because they is all Yellow.
Are There Some Still Wild?
These dogs are not completely domesticated, there are allot of thems that still live freely in swamps and forest in South Carolina and that area. They has lived there for thoudands of years. People sometimes think they are stray dogs. Could you imagine trying to pet on of those? Although you should never pet a dog you do not know, still, if you did try. That would be scarys.
Temperament.
Carolina Doggies is very shy normally if not socialized, but if ya do let them get to know people when they are younger they should be okay. Most times in the wild they live in a pack, they also need to live ina pack at home with you. BUT, the key is, to being THEIR leader not the other way around. That goes with most every dog though, but if they get in the habit when they is younger of owning you, that may not work so well for the both of you. Iz try to own my hoomans and Iz do, they just don’t know it. They is a very good doggie to have if you have children, they love to play and be (like Iz said) part of the pack, so it might be good to put the kids outside with the dog(s) and lets them play. BOL! They is very clean dogs, so housebreaking should not be any problem. Along with getting in the garbage and all the messy stuff. They do not want to be dirty or have their living area dirty.
Can They Live in Small Areas?
They is not good if you live in a little place, cause they need big areas. If yous a person that likes to keep your doggie outside, these would be a good doggie to have. Unless you live in a very cold area, they do good in all kind of heat. Even the weather like where Iz live, when it gets 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Is They Active?
They need lots of exercise, so if you have a big yard, that’s cool. If not, take them for walks and runs and stuff.
How Long Will They Live?
They live to be 12-16 if taken care of. Is all depends though, juss like any doggie.
Size.
Height for Males and Females: 17-25 Inches
Weight for Males and Females: 30-40 Pounds
Oz, they look cool. Iz think Iz gonna get me one of those doggies.
